Molly

I just wanted to email you to let you know I have settled really well into my new home at Yeppoon. I spent about a month in Maryborough with my new Mum's daughter and her family. I was really spoilt while I was there and they were really sad to see me go. I got bathed nearly 3 times a week and had lots of brushes, so my coat ended up looking really beautiful. I also went for long walks a few times and I'm pleased to say I was fit enough to keep up with everyone and last the distance.
Now I live on a Pineapple farm in Yeppoon. My new Mum, Vivienne has been widowed for over 2 years, so she is really enjoying my company. She particularly loves seeing my happy face when she gets home from work. We share the farm with her other daughter and family, so I'm never short of playmates. They have a big dog, Oliver and I have made it known that I'm the new boss of the farm and Oliver doesn't seem to mind at all. I have adapted well, even though I have had 3 different homes in the last 3 months, but I guess it’s my cute adorable face and nature that make me so well liked.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I'm safe and well and really loved by my new Mum and her family. This is a photo of Mum and me, the day we left Maryborough to go home to Yeppoon. I enjoyed the big drive there as I just love riding in the car.
Hope you are all well and thank you for taking such good care of me while I was with you.

Love Molly XX

Sith

I thought that Ishould send in a Happy Ending for Sith. He has been doing very good, he sits and drops on command (or when he feels like it hahaha), he fetches and he looks after the boys. Ebony, our Collie Rough, has adopted him as her own pup and they spend days playing out the back. Here is a photo of the kids playing up at the beach.

R2 (Formerly Rastus)

Hi just a note to let you know that I have a new name, R2 . I got away once and my new Mum had to chase me. She got me back and said that I was cheeky. She told me that I had to stay outside as “punishment”, but then she let me in. I was naughty again today , but I only went next door for a quick visit. Apart from these little hiccups, she says I am very loveable. I am so happy she came and got me. We have talks and I sit and listen with my ears up and Mum smiles. I love my Mums’ 7 month old Granddaughter. I sit beside her and when she coughs I run to her. Mum says I am a very good dog and she would not trade me for anything. Love you Mum.

Tess

Hello everyone, my name is Tess.
I just thought I would send a letter to say how great my new home is and I have lots and lots of room to run around everyday!!! My favourite place is the trampoline, except I need a bit of help to get up!!! Also my family bought me a very comfy bed to sleep on and lots of toys to play with!!! My owner said that my tail never stops wagging hehe!! Here are a couple of pictures of me.

Love Tess..

P.S. Also I would like to say hello to all the people at the Maryborough animal refuge.

Scruffy

Remember me, Scruffy. I was one of the long timers at the refuge. That is until my new mum Kyleigh and her family Tony, Brad and Ryan saw me in the local paper. Mum took one look at my photo and came and took me home that very day. I have adapted very well. My new pjamas keep me warm and I snuggle with my new best mate "Jedda" on our bed at night. Mums' cat Margeret is getting used to me although she chased me once. The food is great and I love my backyard. Dad Tony is impressed and gives me baths and brushes my coat. The kids Brad and Ryan play with me and I am even allowed in the cubby and sandpit.

My Mum cuddles and sooks me and my nickname is "woodlegirl", as I'm a wire haired terrier x poodle.

I just love my new family and I know they love me. Just when I thought no-one wanted me, along came a very special family, which I am now a part of.

All the best to my friends at the Animal Refuge and a big thanks for taking care of me for almost 2 years.

Love and slobbery kisses,

SCRUFFY

Yougi

I wanted to give you an update on how I am going. I was adopted on the 26th January 2005 and then Chrissy delivered me to Gympie, where I met up with my new Mum on the 30th January and went on to my new home in Brisbane.

I have fitted in so well. My Mum says I am an absolute deligh and. I took to being spoilt immediately and love sleeping on my boomerang pillow on the lounge during the day and sleeps on Mums’ bed, or should I say she sleeps on my queen size bed at night. I gets on exceptionally with Mums’ other dog Edie and we are inseparable. Everyone is happy that I love children, well actually I love everybody and everybody loves me. We go on walks every day, well almost every day.
It was a very difficult time for Mum when she adopted me, as it was so close to losing her beloved Border Collie, TD, after 12 wonderful years. She decided she needed to adopt another dog within a matter of weeks of losing TD, because she was worried about Edie and how she would cope with being an only dog. At the time she couldn't imagine that she could take to another dog so quickly, but I won her heart and although she thinks of TD often, I help ease that pain. She says I am a funny and loving dog.

I want to thank you all at the Maryborough Animal Refuge for making it possible for her to adopt me. I am sure that I will bring Mum many, many years of happiness and joy. Mum is very grateful that he was made available via the Internet, otherwise she would never have discovered me. She fell in love with my picture and says that she knew from my eyes that I was and am a very special dog.
Love, hugs and licks

Angel

Just a short note to let you all know that I have settled in to my new home. It took me a few days to adjust to all the attention, but I have a new pal called Cy, who I snuggle up with at night and play with all day. He's a bit older and slower than me, but I keep him moving. I get all the attention I need from three great kids, who love my kisses and give me plenty of belly rubs.
They feed me well and make me feel right at home. They have also let me keep the name I came with from the Refuge. The kids say Angel suits me. Although I'm not always an Angel, I'm always a big playful puppy.

Love Angel.

Ralph

Hello to you all. I have really settled into my new home and my Mum & Dad are having a lot of fun with me. There is so much land to run around on, that sometimes I run so much I get tired & Mum has to give me a ride back to the house on the quad bike. We have been busy this week doing fencing, so we can get some cattle, which I am going to have to learn how to work with. Midnight the cat & Quacky the duck are my new friends. It only took a couple of days for us all to get used to one another. Thank you for looking after me. Give my brother & sister a pat from me and I will call in & visit one day.
Woof, Woof

Love Ralph

Gypsy

Just a note to let you know that I have settled in very well and now I think that my new family know that I own the place. After having my stitches out, I have also had all my injections and I had a hydrobath and clip to make me look more look beautiful.

The other Silky Terrier, Roxy, who is 14 years old and a bit slow these days, wondered what hit the place when I arrived, but we are now good mates.

I love to make myself very comfortable on either lounge chair or the lap of whoever might be in the chair! I also think the bottom shelf of the walk-in robe, where Dad's old work clothes are stored, is nice and comfy.

I have attached a couple of photos for you to see just how well I have settled in and become very much a part of their family. The little girl is Hannah, is my Grandsister, who was with us last weekend - We got on very well together.

Love
Gypsy

Zac

I had been at the refuge for a while and I had also been in the paper as dog of the week, but no one wanted me. Then along came my new family. I love them and have settled in quite well, although my new sister has had her nose put out a bit and thinks she owns the joint.

Here we are eating our bones, notice how we are sitting apart!! Here I am fast asleep after going to the beach....wow, what a place that was. I hope we go there again.

I am keeping an eye out for my new owners house and they think I am a very good boy when I alert them to a strange noise. I know I am going to love it here. Thank you all for looking after me while I was at the refuge. I will come back and see you one day.

Love Zac

An Update

Hello everyone. A very happy Zac here and I thought that you might like an update.
I have just come back from the beach and wanted to let you see how I am now good mates with my 'sister' Zig. I have such a good life now, not that I don't miss you guys but .... it's better here! The yard is great and I am still on guard at night to look after my new owners. I will call in and see you all again one day when I am not so busy living the "Good Life".
